Hi! I’m Catherine Dekoekkoek and I’m a Broadcast Media major at UNLV. I’m a junior this year, hoping to graduate in the spring of 09′. I eventually would like to become an entertainer reporter. Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana DePandi are my favorite reporters and I enjoy watching them on E News. I’m from Long Beach, California. I spent some of my childhood years in the Philippines and move to Vegas when I was 8. In my free time I like to spend time with my family and friends. I live for the weekends! Some of my favorite things to do is travel, eat fast food, and go to the beach whenever I get the chance. I’m very out going and easy to get along with. 
Throughout my spring semester at UNLV I’ll be writing blogs on Celebrities “giving back.” They seem to have it all money, fame, and beauty. Fortunately, many stars are spreading some of their good fortune around. I’ll be talking about how they help out in charity events and donate millions of dollars to foundations and organizations. Its wonderful to know that they contribute so much to those in need. This is an interest of mine and I hope to you all.

Catherine! Your blog sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun! What’s your favorite fast food? I have this friend name Hawk that likes fast food. You two should get together sometime

This is a great idea for a blog. It seems that most people focus on the negative when writing about celebrities. I look forward to reading a more positive take on the issue.
